C919, this is a jet medium-range trunk passenger aircraft with independent intellectual property rights developed by the development team based on Huaxia's technology. From the beginning, it was developed in accordance with international airworthiness standards and designed for the 150-seat single-aisle narrow-body aircraft market.

It can be said that C919 is excellent and successful.

But its positioning is a medium-range trunk passenger aircraft, a 150-seat single-aisle narrow-body aircraft!

Huaxia, of course, cannot be satisfied with only Yun-10 and C919!

From the beginning of its design, C929 was positioned as a wide-body medium- and long-range passenger aircraft, that is, a long-range wide-body passenger aircraft between the Boeing 767 semi-wide-body passenger aircraft and the Boeing 787 passenger aircraft.

The indicators determined at the beginning were that the maximum take-off weight was 180 tons to 230 tons, and the number of passengers was 200 to 230 seats. The range indicator is in the range of 7,000 to 12,000 kilometers.

This is one-third more than the number of passengers on the C919 passenger aircraft, and the range has also been greatly improved.

The development indicators of C929 are larger than the current Boeing 767 passenger aircraft, but slightly smaller than the Boeing 787 passenger aircraft currently being developed by Boeing.

In terms of technology, the C929 wide-body medium- and long-range passenger aircraft is definitely the most advanced twin-engine long-range wide-body passenger aircraft in the world. Neither Airbus's A330 nor Boeing's 777 can compare.

After years of hard work, the C929 wide-body passenger aircraft has finally ushered in the detailed design review stage.

The country attaches great importance to the C929 wide-body passenger aircraft, because this is a passenger aircraft that will fly intercontinentally, and it is a large aircraft that can fly directly from China to the United States, South America or Europe.

From the perspective of national defense and security, this kind of aviation transportation should naturally be firmly in the hands of the Chinese. After all, if a secret door is left, the loss of a plane crash is very shocking, and the casualties will be very heavy.

To put it in a darker way, an Airbus or Boeing aircraft is no different from a large missile at a critical moment.

To see how much damage a passenger plane can cause, just look at the losses in the United States during 9/11.

There is no tall building in the world that can withstand a passenger plane crash.

In the past, there was no other way. China had to purchase Airbus or Boeing aircraft to meet China's growing aviation needs and promote China's civil aviation industry.

Since China has successively developed regional aircraft and trunk aircraft, the number of domestic aircraft in civil aviation has increased.

If you can use domestic passenger aircraft, you will not purchase the same type of Airbus or Boeing aircraft.

Of course, there is another very important reason, which is for the development of the aviation industry.

The aviation industry is definitely a high value-added industry with a long industrial chain and high profits. Only when there are more high value-added industries can more high-paying jobs be provided.

Japan has never given up on large passenger aircraft, but after investing heavily, it has not seen any shadows until now.

The expert group this time can be said to be quite large, and experts in various professions are all top experts in China.

Liu Tao is also very satisfied with the progress of C929. If nothing unexpected happens, C929 can be finalized during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and mass production and delivery can be carried out during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan".

By then, the entire Chinese aviation industry will be larger and more advanced.

And you must know that C929 is not the end point. When C929 is successfully developed, C939 will inevitably be developed.

C939 has been approved and is a long-range wide-body passenger aircraft.

As for the C949 developed during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", it will be an ultra-large wide-body passenger aircraft, benchmarking Airbus's A380 passenger aircraft and Boeing 747 passenger aircraft.
