Chapter 244: Miniature World
This place has become an unpredictable place...'another world'.
The number of alien creatures increased, and they soon replaced the species that Lin originally called gatekeepers.
Initially, the behavior of these alien creatures is no different from that of the Gatekeepers, and they will act together with the Gatekeepers.
And when the gatekeepers were completely destroyed, the alien creatures began their original...alien life.
It was the same as in the unpredictable land. They occupied a lot of stones and used them as tumblers... and built landscapes on them that were similar to the original alien worlds.
Then, they regarded this place as a real alien world and themselves as normal alien creatures.
Of course, all of this is miniature, but this group of alien creatures don’t care about this, nor do they care about all kinds of strange places.
For example, no matter how they build the place where they live, it will never be exactly the same as the original one. At the same time, the food they eat is... resources dug out from some stones.
However, these alien creatures ignored all the abnormal parts.
They simply constructed the stones they were on according to the appearance of the other world, and then began to live the same life as before.
Lin observed them for a while and found that none of these creatures would guard some important equipment here like the original gatekeepers. They just imitated the original life in the other world as much as possible, and they were completely unaware of illusions.
Next, Lin tried to investigate where these alien creatures came from.
When they appeared, the number of gatekeepers began to decrease drastically. According to Lin's observation, these alien creatures were mainly reproduced.
Of course, their reproduction speed was far beyond the original speed, and it did not return to normal until the gate guardians became extinct.
But they must have a source from which they originally appeared, so Lin tried to find traces of the source among all the floating stones.
However, nothing seems to be found among these alien creatures.
There was nothing special on each stone they lived on, so Lin went to look elsewhere.
After searching for a while, Lin found something strange.
This is... one of Sharlene's hands.
The hand floated by itself among many rocks and was accidentally discovered by Lin using the micro-pompom she used for detection.
Sharin's body structure itself is constructed using an effect similar to the condensation of nothingness. When Sharin's limbs are broken, the limbs will turn into dust and will not maintain their original shape.
But Lin found that this part of the limb still maintained its original cohesion, so it could still maintain the shape of the hand.
So Lin took this part of the body back first.
Not long after finding this hand, Lin found other parts...this time the parts were not so complete.
They were not complete limbs or anything, but just some body fragments, each of which was only a few centimeters and scattered in many places inside the tumbler.
Some of them are places Lin has been to, but she didn’t discover them when she went there before.
But no matter how small these fragments are, they all have some cohesion, which Lin finds very interesting.
So, Lin took all the limbs to a base on the surface and put them together.
After completely combining all the fragments, Lin found that she could assemble a body without a heart...Shalin.
To be precise, there is a piece missing from the heart.
Although this body itself does not have a heart, it seems like it cannot move without this part.
The currently assembled Sharin will not move at all, and of course her expression will not change.
Lin was very curious about how Sharin became like this. Lin thought that there must be something here that disassembled Sharin.
It can also directly affect Sharin’s own cohesion.
So, the miniature troops continued to investigate inside and near the tumbler.
At the same time, Lin also investigated the space ruins and other areas where illusions were originally seen.
Lin didn't find any special clues in those places.
After telling the clone about this, he was very surprised.
It also didn't know... what could have turned Sharin into this state, but the clone also said that it didn't understand Sharin's current... state of consciousness.
The clone felt that if Sharin's consciousness was in an unpredictable place, then nothing should be able to affect it.
But Sharin's consciousness itself may not be in an unpredictable place, which leads to insufficient control over her body here.
Or... deep in some unforeseen place or something like that.
Lin thought that being able to have that influence was already very special, but the clone didn't know what the influence was.
In the clone's cognition, there should be no creature here that can interfere with Sharin's cohesion.
In short, it thinks Lin has to find all parts of Sharin.
But Lin didn't notice the rest.
It may be in a smaller state, or it may not be inside this tumbler.
During the time that Lin was searching, she discovered that those alien creatures were flying towards Sharin...
Because Lin's base was built on the surface, they flew out from the inside of the Tumbler. Through the large holes connected to the interior, these creatures came to the surface on various micro-aircraft they made.
These aircraft are also of alien style, and are very similar to the medieval creations of the Ershi people. Most of them are ships or something like that.
Of course they can fly in the air.
Lin did not attack them, but let these creatures fly into the base. Then they began to gather around Sharin and decompose her.
They tried to cut Sharin into pieces of several centimeters in size, including the intact hand that Sharin brought back. They wanted to dismantle it.
Lin really wanted to know why these creatures did this.
So Lin carefully examined the...brains of these alien creatures.
They also have a tiny brain inside their tiny bodies, which has a complex structure and is different from the thinking structure of the original gatekeepers.
But in general, they all have similar construction methods. After studying them, Lin found that these creatures were not thinking about anything at all.
Their thinking is limited to when they are imitating normal life in the alien world. When their behavior deviates from normal life in the alien world, such as flying up and decomposing Sharin, this abnormal activity, they will stop thinking.
It is another 'force' that controls their tiny bodies to perform such actions.
Lin detected where this power was.
It is inside a nearby star... According to the clone's knowledge, that place is not within the scope of the illusion world.
