Cancel the Holiday! Updates Will Resume Tomorrow
I'm here to report my leave.
Due to my health and condition, I've been on leave for 43 days since the 16th of last month. I did this to get through the fatigue period and regain my passion for writing by refining the previous articles.
During this period, I sorted out 236 points of refinement, including 18 major and medium-sized plots, and started to refine them.
The current progress is about 36%.
The actual completion volume is seriously behind the planned refinement volume, which is also the main reason for the postponement of the leave from the original plan of 1 month to today. I apologize to everyone first.
My real experience is that "revision is harder than writing", especially the pressure increases in the later stages:
The normal writing process is usually smooth, but refinement is to make adjustments to higher standards (optimize the logic and excitement of the plot) under limited conditions (without changing the original plot direction). The process is very slow and more mentally exhausting.
Sometimes I encounter "tough bones" and I still can't change satisfactory content even after wasting time in front of the computer until midnight.
Fortunately, I have the habit of taking notes. I wrote down any problems I noticed before, so it was easy to list most of the problems that needed to be focused on and refined, saving the time of searching and making judgments one by one in the process. Therefore, even if only 36% of the original plan was completed this time, it was still 85 refined points that were efficiently produced.
Although it cannot be guaranteed that the revision is perfect, I can only say that I tried my best to conform to the plot logic and effectively enhance the reading experience. I am quite satisfied with it.
The completed copy refinement includes:
The redesign and adjustment of the difficulty of the third level of Whisper of the Heart Demon, the optimization and refinement of the early foreshadowing of the Hungry Ghost Doomsday, the optimization of the difficulty and logic of the containment copy, and the overall optimization of the promotion ceremony, including copy logic, difficulty, villain performance, etc.
The main content includes:
The optimization of the content of the first tit-for-tat with the Peacock Spider, the optimization of the setting refinement in the process of contacting the official, the optimization of the meaning and logic of the interaction between the protagonist and the official, the optimization of the logic of the supporting characters, etc.
Interested readers can go back and take a look. Remember to click to re-download to see the latest version.
Of course, all optimizations are made without changing the current plot results. The core of the refinement is to make the plot logic smoother and the excitement more prominent, so that readers can have a better and more coherent reading experience.
The remaining unfinished refinement, to be honest, may not be completed in another month.
Then all the readers will run away...
So after thinking about it, I still have to resume updating!
I don’t want to let the readers who have been waiting for me for a long time wait longer, because I have reorganized the main line, and I can continue to write while completing the remaining 64% of the content to be optimized.
In addition, there is no daily update pressure during this period, and the body and mind have been well buffered in the early stage, and more and better inspirations have been obtained.
Next, it will be reflected in the following content.
In summary, this "buffer period" has brought me a lot of gains:
The persistent anxiety has been cured, and my understanding of this book is deeper and more firm.
I'm back, thank you for being there.
