A Magical Journey Starting at Hogwarts

Chapter 40: Fragments Found in the Restricted Area

The day after Christmas.

The alarm rang, and Aaron opened his eyes in a daze.

After washing up, he went to the hall to eat as usual, and then went to the library.

After showing Professor Snape's note to Ms. Pince, he went directly to the restricted area.

This does not mean that the books in the ordinary area are useless. On the contrary, the books in the ordinary area are more useful to students. Almost 99% of the questions can be answered here.

But it is precisely because of this that he feels a little bored.

The restricted area is more like a preparation for the so-called 1%. There are things that cannot be taught in class, secrets of the magic world, the habits of dark creatures, and the history that is buried deeper. Even the research on the soul can be found here.

According to the words of later generations, one can be checked online at will, and the other can only be read by VIPs. It must be that the gold content of VIPs is high!

After walking through rows of bookshelves, Aaron stopped in front of a gray book. It told the history of the elves, including their wars with other races, the magical treasures in the tribe, and so on.

Although it was only partially recorded, it could broaden one's horizons.

Because in the magic history class, the professor only mentioned the secrets of other races in a few words.

If you really ask in detail, it will be embarrassing, because the professor may not know.

Just as Aaron was reading with relish, the angle of sunlight shining through the window was slowly shifting, and the reflection on the floor stung his eyes.

"What is it?" Aaron closed the book and walked closer to see that it was a few pieces of glass fragments with some gray-white lamp oil stuck on them.

After thinking for a few seconds, Aaron's face became more playful, and then he picked up the glass fragments, put the book back on the bookshelf, and walked out of the forbidden book area.

......

"Hello, Gryffindor prefect." Aaron stopped Percy in the corridor, "I may need to ask you for something."

"Are you... Aaron?" Percy looked at the Slytherin symbol on Aaron's robe and frowned subconsciously, not understanding why a Slytherin wanted to see him.

"Yes, it's me, Aaron Gaius."

"Oh! Fred and George told me about you, and they have a very good opinion of you.

Is there something you want to talk to me about?"

"I have something important to talk to Harry Potter about, but he should be resting in the dormitory now.

If I go there as a Slytherin who doesn't know the password, the Fat Lady won't let me in.

I don't want to trouble Professor McGonagall for such a small matter, so I can only ask you as the prefect for help."

Percy pondered for two seconds and said seriously: "I can help you with this, but I need to know what you want to do with him.

After all, you are a Slytherin, and Slytherin and Gryffindor have always been incompatible.

If there is no sufficient reason, I will not take you to the common room, please understand this."

"Uh..." Aaron was a little amused, "It's not as serious as you said, I don't need to go in, as long as you can call Harry out."

Percy looked straight into Aaron's eyes and hesitated a little.

Who knows if this Slytherin will lead Gryffindor students astray? If anything goes wrong, he, as the prefect, will be blamed.

Since he has encountered this, he has to find a way to deal with this matter.

"Let's go directly to the common room! Otherwise, it will be troublesome to go back and forth."

"Don't you need a sufficient reason?"

Percy suddenly paused and said seriously: "During the holidays, there is no need to be so particular."

The two came to the end of the corridor on the seventh floor of Hogwarts Castle one after the other. The Fat Lady was guarding the entrance to the Gryffindor common room in a painting.

"Dragon scum!"

Percy read the password, and the Fat Lady controlled the door to open, revealing a circular entrance.

"Come in! You should be the first person in Slytherin to visit here."

"I am quite honored to say so."

As soon as they entered the door, the warmth dispelled the chill on the two.

There was a fire in the fireplace, and the phoenix pattern on it was looming. The lounge built of volcanic stones made people feel quite warm.

Percy took Aaron to a sofa, "Wait here for a while, don't move, I'll call Harry over."

"Thank you for your help."

"No, this is what I, as a prefect, should do." Percy said as he walked towards a staircase.

A few minutes later, Harry and Ron, wearing pajamas, came down, while Percy sat at a table behind them with a book and read it very naturally.

"Ah!" Harry yawned, "Aaron, why are you looking for me?"

"Uh... This matter may be more important, the three of us can just talk about it alone, there is no need to let others know." Aaron winked at the two of them, and mouthed "Percy", the meaning was self-evident.

Harry and Ron looked at each other, and they couldn't help but feel a little more bitter.

When Percy called them to get up just now, he had specifically told them that he must sit in on the class.

"It doesn't matter, we are all family, just say it directly." Ron said.

Aaron was so angry that he laughed, turned around and looked at Percy, "Well, I am very grateful for bringing me here.

But can you avoid it first? This matter is really not suitable for the Gryffindor prefect to know."

"Really? Did you violate the school rules?" Percy asked meaningfully.

"No!" Aaron nodded very seriously.

"Then what can't I know?" Percy asked back, "You should know that the relationship between Gryffindor and Slytherin has always been bad. I have made an exception by letting you in.

I want to sit in on the class now just to make sure that you freshmen will not cause trouble for me during the holidays. After all, I brought you in, and I have to take responsibility if something happens."

Aaron's mouth twitched slightly. No wonder this guy is the prefect!

In order to be able to listen in, even such a small trick was used. Look at how authentic the words are.

He could just walk away, but he felt a little depressed in his heart, "Out of courtesy, I will call you senior first.

Senior, believe me, it is more appropriate for us to talk about this matter in private.

Once you know, the nature will change."

Percy nodded, "I still maintain my original opinion."

"Okay!" Aaron turned his head helplessly and looked at Harry and Ron, "What do you think?

I'll remind you that sometimes you have to know how to resist.

You can go out with me, I'll just say a few words and it will be fine."

"Then..." Harry was about to speak, and Percy coughed twice.

"I think we should talk here! We don't have anything shameful."

"Well said, but I hope you won't regret it later." Aaron said, then took out a piece of cloth from his pocket and put it on the table.

As the cloth was opened, several pieces of glass fragments appeared in the perspective of several people.

Ron and Percy didn't understand, but Harry thought of something and his face changed slightly.

"I went to the restricted area this morning..."

"Wait, you said the restricted area?" Percy looked at Aaron in astonishment, "Is that where you, a first-year student, can go?"

"I have a note from the professor, otherwise Ms. Pince wouldn't have put me in." Aaron explained, he always felt that Percy seemed to expect him to make a mistake.

"I still think it's a little inappropriate."

"Haha! That's funny, you are the prefect of Gryffindor, and I am Slytherin.

Whether it's appropriate or not, you don't have the final say." Aaron joked, and then picked up one of the fragments, "Just when I was reading, I found these fragments in front of a bookshelf.

When I left the library yesterday, there were no fragments, but this morning there were.

No one cleaned it, which means someone sneaked into the restricted area last night, and this person didn't have a note from the professor.

And the only people I know are Harry and Ron You two wanted to go to the restricted area to look up information, but you couldn't do it."

"You suspect them." Percy's face was a little ugly, "You can't put the blame on Gryffindor just because of a few glass fragments and some speculations, it's ridiculous."

"Senior, you are right, I think so too.

But my pet has a good sense of smell, it told me that the smell on these fragments is very similar to that of a friend of mine." Aaron said and put Abe on the table, it also pretended to sniff the fragments, and then pretended to glance at Harry and Ron.

The look of this "cat" made them feel cold on their backs, and the other was confused.

"You saw it, too, so I came here on a whim to ask if it was them.

Instead of making a big deal out of it, it would be embarrassing for Madam Pince. After all, someone sneaked into the restricted area, which was her fault as the librarian. The corresponding student's college should also deduct a certain number of points!

But now that you, the head of Gryffindor, know about it, things are different.

This is a violation of school rules and regulations. I wonder how you are going to deal with it?"
