Chapter 62 The End of the Era: Inside the Tomb
Necromancers, this species has actually disappeared long ago, or their civilization and existence have long since disappeared. The race once called the Necrontyr has disappeared in the long river of history, replaced by soulless steel bodies.
They are hard, fearless, and almost indestructible. Behind the extremely advanced and even magical technology level, there are twisted thoughts that hate all flesh and blood. Those individuals who retain their thinking in these steel bodies, those former nobles, emperors and high priests, are now paranoid and crazy.
The first time humans fought against the Necromancers was in Orpheus. It was a bloody, long and difficult decisive battle. The empire won a victory that cannot be called a victory.
Although the Orpheus star field was preserved, in the chaos and turmoil that followed, the severely injured human empire still gave up this star field.
The war won the victory, but also lost the victory.
After that, the wars between humans and the Necrons continued. Vito still remembered the battle of the World Engine, which was a battle between the Dreadnaught and the Glorious. The Astral Knights won a difficult victory at the cost of almost annihilation.
But today, Vito felt that maybe he could not pay such a high price, at least, if they could get things done within an hour.
The Inquisitor squatted behind a black wall, and the green decomposition rays and Gauss weapons bombarded the corner wall. The plasma arcs jumped and flickered beside him.
Vito looked at the four Astartes who were also hiding in the wall. Behind them were several remains of the Necrons, and their death was very ugly.
In order to ensure that these iron blocks would not reassemble and stand up again, Vito and the Death Watch made their best efforts to beat them to pieces, and as far as the result was concerned, it seemed to be quite successful, although they seemed to have beaten fewer.
Vito nodded slightly to Bell. The Ultramarines lowered their bolters and took a grenade from their belts. Bell threw it out. The grenade hit the wall at the end of the corridor and bounced into the corridor where the Necrons were.
The explosion sounded instantly, and a large area of fire swept towards the Necrons. They did not dodge or evade. The flames could not cause any damage to them. The scalding heat flow slid directly over the black metal surface, without even a trace of burning.
The Necrons looked at the sea of fire in front of them. One of the Necrons raised his Gauss rifle and aimed at the flames again, but suddenly a flash of plasma whistled out of the fire cloud. The plasma pierced through the roiling fire cloud and hit the Necrons in the chest.
A hole was melted in the black steel, but the Necrons were not killed. The latter raised his Gauss rifle and fired continuously at the giant rushing in the flames.
But the plasma seemed to have destroyed his stable structure, and his arm was shaking. The Gauss ray only hit one side of the giant's shoulder armor, and a clear gap was made on the black shell, but the giant had already rushed to the front.
Lancelot's power sword pierced the face of the dead soul, and the dead soul guard fell to the ground with a bang, and his face flashed with chaotic arcs around the decomposition blade of the power sword.
The dead soul next to him pointed the muzzle at Lancelot, but before he could shoot, he was punched in the face by Ragnar who rushed over.
The space dead soul was hit hard against the wall, and the mechanical head was sunken because of the heavy blow. He turned his head slowly without any pain, but as soon as he looked at the front, his head was chopped off by a chain saw axe.
The roaring chainsaw cut off the face of the dead soul from the front, and Ragnar pulled out the grenade gun and shot at the remaining dead souls, and those dead souls aimed at the Astartes and started firing.
Ragnar pushed the remains of the Necrons next to him against the front, and the corpse blocked the beams of laser arcs. Ragnar stepped forward and used the corpse as a battering ram to knock over several Necrons soldiers.
He threw the corpse away, wielded the chainsaw and looked into the shoulder of the last Necrons guard who was still standing. The arm that was about to raise the disassembly rifle began to twitch under the fierce cutting of the chainsaw sword. The Necrons looked at the Space Wolf in front of him with a blank look. The latter angrily grabbed the Necrons' head and then forcibly tore it off from the neck.
Ragnar, full of anger, let out an angry wolf howl. He turned and pounced on another Necrons who had just stood up. Lancelot stood up from the ground and raised his bolter to start firing at the reinforcements that appeared at the end of the corridor.
Bell also rushed up from the side and aimed his bolter. It must be said that Bell's shooting skills are very good. As a pharmacist, his shooting skills have achieved a literal one-shot-one-head.
The Necrons reinforcements were hit by explosive bombs at the end of the corridor, and they were knocked to the ground. Green arcs of electricity spurted out from the bullet holes, as if it was a special kind of blood.
Necrons warriors holding plasma shields appeared in the corridor, holding black shields on their left arms, and the protective stance instantly unfolded to block the explosive bombs. The bullets decomposed and exploded a few inches in front of the shields, and the flames did not hurt the Necrons at all.
These iron guards holding shields and flashing green cutting axes stepped forward. The bombs in front of them were meaningless. Their iron feet stepped on the black stone ground flashing green light, and attacked with heavy mechanical footsteps.
From above their heads, the underworld construct beetles flew over one by one. These beetles swarmed like bees from the arches, black stone pillars and walls, and their iron jaws flashed green lightning.
Bell and Lancelot immediately fired at the constructs, and the bolters exploded and flashed in the dense swarm of beetles, but they still couldn't stop the dense sea of beetles from rushing over.
They pressed in like dark clouds on a rainy day, but just when the first group of beetles was about to touch Bell and Lancelot, a force captured them all, and then all the beetles were pinched together by invisible hands, squeezing and colliding with each other, and finally exploded and disintegrated.
Their steel wreckage fell to the ground, and Olaf, with lightning flashing in his eyes, walked from behind the two of them. Bell and Lancelot looked at each other and immediately raised their bolters to continue shooting.
Swarms of beetles were constantly blocked and killed by bolters and psychic power, but their problems were not only these. The dead warriors holding the stand shield were coming in formation, and their iron feet ruthlessly crushed their soulless compatriots who fell to the ground.
"Ragnar! Charge!" Vito shouted and rushed under the three giants. The chainsaw sword in his hand roared and roared. Ragnar, who had just chopped the dead soldier in front of him with a battle axe, did not hesitate at all. He rushed in front of Vito and rushed directly towards the warriors.
The Space Wolf hit the stand shield with one shoulder, and its flashing energy lightning bombarded Ragnar's armor. He howled in pain and hit the surface of the shield with both fists.
The dead warrior stopped, but at the moment of stopping, Vito rushed up and jumped up. He stepped on Ragnar's head and flew over the heads of the dead warriors.
Vito spun and landed on the ground. The moment he landed, his right arm swung out and the muzzle of the plasma gun slid out. He shot through the head of a warrior with one shot, and the warrior collapsed to the ground like a puppet without a string.
Vito continued to fire at the warriors. One of the warriors came up with a disintegration axe. He was constantly bombarded by plasma, but the plasma could not effectively kill the black giant.
He swung the disintegration axe and chopped at Vito. The Inquisitor dodged, but the attack of the undead was extremely fast and fierce. He kept waving the disintegration axe to try to kill the Inquisitor, but Vito dodged by repeatedly flipping backwards with his agile back.
Vito came to a black stone pillar. He leaned against it, but the attack of the undead arrived immediately. The disintegration axe chopped the black stone pillar. Vito fled down and then pounced forward.
He rushed over from the undead's open iron feet. Vito raised his chainsaw sword and half-knelt up, swinging it. The chainsaw sword roared and cut the undead's ankle. The fierce chainsaw cut off the connecting shaft of its leg. The undead warrior knelt on the ground, and just as he turned his head to look at Vito, the chainsaw sword directly pierced his face from the front.
The roaring chainsaw sword pierced the face of the undead warrior, and countless mechanical debris gushed out from the chainsaw cut. Vito pulled out the chainsaw axe, raised his right arm and shot to evaporate half of the undead warrior's face.
Vito pulled out the hot melt grenade on his belt, he pulled off the safety and threw it to the undead warriors not far away. The hot melt grenade exploded under their feet, and almost instantly the calves of two undead warriors were dissolved and cracked.
A gap appeared when they fell to the ground. Ragnar seized the opportunity and rushed in. He grabbed the head of the nearest dead warrior and cut off his neck with a whistling chain saw axe.
The next dead warrior swung the decomposition axe to chop at Ragnar, but he was blocked. Lancelot's knight sword blocked the chopped dead decomposition axe in front of him, and its green blade flashed countless arcs on the knight sword.
Lancelot glared at the dead warrior in front of him. He pushed up and relied on brute force to break the suppression of the mechanical body. Then he chopped off his arm holding the axe with a sword. The moment the axe fell to the ground, the knight Caliban cut off his head.
Ragnar was entangled with the remaining dead warriors. One of the warriors rushed from the side. He threw away the stand shield and stepped on the iron foot to approach Ragnar at a very fast speed.
He raised his battle axe and slashed at the back of Ragnar's neck before Ragnar noticed it, but when the battle axe of the dead was about to hit the target, the iron body suddenly froze.
Olaf watched the dead warrior raise his arm and clench his fist slightly. The dead body was completely stuck, and its mechanical limbs made a rumbling sound of working hard, but it was useless.
Ragnar turned around and immediately solved it with a chain saw axe. As the dead warrior fell to the ground, the whole hall fell silent for a short time.
"Well done, everyone, let's continue now," Vito said as he walked towards several people, but before he finished speaking, dense decomposition field rays shot from the other side of the Black Stone Hall.
Those rays bombarded around the few people, and everyone looked to one side of the hall. It was the dead army that came out of several doors that suddenly opened, and they couldn't even find that they were doors before.
The Gundam Necromancers led by him opened fire fiercely with heavy ray cannons. Without warning, everyone immediately began to look for cover. The Astartes rushed around. Olaf summoned a shield behind him to block several shots that could not be avoided, and then began to rush towards the stone pillar.
The Necromancers fired fiercely at them. Bell retreated while shooting, and the explosive shells hit the Necromancer army, but it was obviously so weak compared to the opponent's firepower.
Bell rolled behind a black stone pillar, and Olaf also rushed to the nearest stone pillar. He was hit by a plasma ray on the back of his shoulder. The lightning struck the old wolf's shoulder, but the latter still gritted his teeth and rushed behind a stone pillar.
The Astartes all entered the bunker, but Vito was not so lucky. He was just outside the stone pillar corridor, and he was a sitting duck in the unobstructed space.
"Fuck!" Vito cursed and subconsciously rushed towards the nearest arch not far away. Decomposition rays and arcs bombarded around him. Vito kept changing his position to avoid those fatal arcs that would kill him immediately if he was shot.
And this was not the most fucked up thing. The most fucked up thing was that a big centipede rushed out from the undead army not far away! Mechanical centipede!
The Tomb Stalker swung several limbs and rushed towards Vito at a very fast speed. The Inquisitor cursed loudly and rushed towards the arch, while the Tomb Stalker rushed at a very fast speed.
Vito fled at full speed. He jumped into the arch before the Tomb Stalker's forelimbs could reach him. He rolled and squatted and raised his plasma right arm gun.
But suddenly, a door panel fell from the archway between him and the hunter, and the hunter who had just chased in was cut in half by the door panel.
Its broken part fell to the ground, and the broken front half kept squirming on the ground. Vito stood up and shot through its green eyes, making it completely quiet.
Just as Vito was about to turn around, he heard the sound of fingers stroking some crystal structure behind him. The fingers seemed very careful, as if they were afraid of breaking it.
Vito smiled and changed his arm back to normal. "Thanks, Trazyn." He said with his back to the man.
The mechanical fingers tapped lightly on the green dimensional magic, and the eyes of the dead looked at the magic cube in front of him, flickering intermittently with his words.
"You're welcome, old friend."
The Endless said.
