Chapter 53 The Vulnerability of the Marauder's Map
William and the others were helpless looking at the map.
The map maker seems to have thought of all the decryption spells, enough to prevent the little wizard from forcibly cracking the map.
But without knowing the secret order, it was impossible to use the map freely, and it was impossible to monitor Snape's medicine store for long periods of time to find out who the attacker was.
William stared at the map without speaking.
George comforted: "It's okay, William, the big deal is that we increase the frequency of pranks. Although it is slower, we will be able to complete the thousand small goals released by the map sooner or later."
But William's dark green pupils were still staring at the map, as if thinking about something.
"What's the matter, William?" Cedric asked. "Do you have any idea?"
"There are indeed some." William asked. "I remember the way to get the secret order, isn't it the only one?"
George dragged his chin and said, "It is true, but William, I don't think there is anything missing from this map."
Of course, there is more than one way to crack this map.
The quickest way is to use powerful magic to unravel directly and violently.
But that requires a very powerful Confusion Charm to confuse the map, and the four of them, William, can't even use the Confusion Charm, let alone confuse the map.
The second way of cracking is to complete a certain number of difficult pranks according to the requirements of the map, and the map will automatically tell the secret order.
This is the dumbest way.
It's the only way a few people can be sure.
If the Weasleys keep up their high-intensity shenanigans, they might be able to finish the job next year.
The third is to find a secret that the creator of the map does not know.
As George said, it's hard!
This map shows the producers' knowledge of Hogwarts, they are very confident, and Hogwarts has no reservations about them, no secrets.
They are also confident that there are no unexplored areas.
If someone is able to find the secret they didn't find, the map also automatically presents the secret code.
But since William proposed it, he should have some ideas.
George took out his wand and pointed at the parchment: "The map shows."
Soon, thin lines of ink like spider webs began to appear from where the wand had just touched.
The lines meet and cross each other, and extend to every corner of the parchment; then writing begins to appear above the parchment, in large, curved green letters:
"Magic Prank System - Marauder's Map.
Proudly presented by the Raiders - Moonface, Wormtail, Bigfoot and Prong. "
Below is a line of small emerald green letters: "Prongs to Mr. Weasley, please speak the secret order."
"I'm going to do a prank." Fred said seriously, and then showed a flattering smile, "Mr. Prongs, you've always been so handsome. At school, I think many girls liked you."
As if an invisible hand were writing on the parchment, the map appeared in writing: "Bigfoot slightly stiffened, agreeing, and expecting something."
George smiled: "Of course, Mr. Bigfoot is also very handsome."
Another handwriting appeared on the parchment: "The secret order is wrong, but the prongs and big feet approve of Mr. Weasley's assessment."
"So you will get a fifty-five-minute map usage qualification, please cherish the prank time."
The handwriting has completely faded, and the map has drawn all the details of Hogwarts Castle and the grounds.
William stared at the map.
Tiny dots of ink that move along the map, each one marked with a name in tiny letters.
A small dot of ink in the upper left corner shows Professor Dumbledore pacing his office.
Filch's cat, Mrs. Norris, was stopping in the hallway on the eighth floor and seemed to sniff the floor.
Peeves, the teasing ghost, is hopping around in the prize room.
But on the whole map, the names of the four William were not displayed!
It's as if they were wiped off the map!
William smiled: "It's really as I thought."
Several people gathered around the map, and Cedric quickly noticed the anomaly. He was surprised: "Don't have our name?"
"This is the first time this has happened."
George was stern and serious, like Professor McGonagall.
He always thought that this map was omnipotent, maybe even a treasure left by the Big Four thousands of years ago, just like the Sorting Hat.
Of course, if it is really the treasure left by the Big Four, there is no doubt that Gryffindor made this map.
But now it doesn't seem to be!
George was disappointed, and felt that his beliefs had collapsed. He had always regarded predators as life mentors.
Fred also sighed: "It seems that the prongs and fork they did not find the room of demand."
Cedric stared at it for a long time and said, "It may not be that the Room of Requirement has not been found, it may be this room that has been cast 'unmarkable'."
"Unmarkable" is a special kind of magic that can be used to hide an area of the world.
Any place that is "unmarkable" cannot be seen directly, or simply cannot be marked on a map.
Unmarkable locations are usually wizards' homes and schools of magic.
Sparton School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Durmstrang School and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are all unmarkable, they use powerful magic to protect their students and their secrets from Muggles and dark wizards.
Likewise, the famous Azkaban is located on an "unmarkable" island in the center of the North Sea, isolating it from the rest of the world.
William shook his head: "This house may really be 'unmarkable', but I think it's a foursome of predators, and I didn't find a house of responsiveness."
"How to say?"
William analyzed: "Look, maybe many years ago, there were also four students who, like us, were keen to discover the secrets of Hogwarts.
So let me ask you, George, if you thought you had all the secrets of Hogwarts, what would you think when you walked around at night? "
"I would want to find a 'secret passage or room that I've never discovered'."
William laughed: "Yeah, it's only when you really need the Room of Requirement."
"You try to find a room that you haven't seen before, and if the Room of Requirement answers your request and comes before you, at that moment, the room is no longer an undiscovered room.
This kind of logical paradox is an invalid order, so the Room of Requirement is never shown in front of a few people. "

(The first update of ps1, ask for a recommendation ticket.)
(The above on ps2 is just my own analysis, no one knows everything about Hogwarts, and the Predator Four are no exception.
The most direct evidence, [Chapter 17 of the Order of the Phoenix] Harry seeks a hidden place for DA to practice Defense Against the Dark Arts,
Sirius's first reaction was the screaming shed, and then the secret passage on the fifth floor, all of which were rejected, and he did not think of other better places.
If he knew there was a Room of Requirement, the first reaction would definitely be a Room of Requirement, like Dobby. )
