Chapter 420 A Letter to the Future
This letter is written to the creators who read this story in the future. If you don’t want the aftertaste of the ending to be destroyed or friends who are not interested in creation, you don’t have to read it.
As a creator, I think that's what sets me apart from other creators. There is one most important question I ask myself every time I start writing.
The question is not whether the work will be commercially successful, but whether the work will stand the test of time.
Before the revision of the last volume is completed, my question will be marked with a big question mark. I certainly hope that it can stand the test of time, but in the final stage of creation, I deviated from the right path and tried to finish the book quickly. Owning the first completed book in my life led me to ignore the story itself and eventually deviated from the right path.
Fortunately, the fans of this book have been tirelessly educating and torturing me, so that I finally realized my mistakes and returned to the right path. Of course, this growth is ultimately reflected in the work itself, which is an extremely valuable asset.
Here, I still want to express my gratitude to the readers of this book, thank you for giving me the opportunity to transcend time.
Closer to home.
With the epilogue revised, I think I have an answer as to whether this book will stand the test of time.
At this point in 2022, Rowling is still alive, and I am still alive, and the world is still dominated by traffic, so there is a high probability that this book will not be put on other stages, published, or made into a movie. It will not be made into a game, and can only stay quietly in a corner of the Internet.
But a work will not die, its time is infinite, with the passage of time, after a long time, when those laws and copyrights disappear with time, impetuousness and utilitarianism precipitate with time, in batch after batch After a number of readers, I believe history will give this fanwork its proper place.
At that time, this work will inevitably re-emerge on the stage of history in other ways.
At that time, I should be gone, so, for other future creators based on this book, there are some issues to be aware of.
1. The existence of the system is not necessary. It is imposed by me so that the books can cater to the preferences of the website. There is no way. I have written books before. There is no system and the website has no signature. In order to sign a contract, I have to cater to the reality. This is my helplessness. If the latecomers create a second creation, the system does not need to exist. (Unless it is game creation, then it needs to be weakened)
However, there are only two problems caused by the disappearance of the system, one ghost walk and one conversion technique. These two problems are actually easy to solve. You only need to use some other more reasonable channels to give Hoffa two golden fingers. It is not difficult for a relatively free creator in the future.
2, and this is the biggest problem, volume three
Because of the ease and ease of the first two volumes, I forgot the weirdness and danger of the story way. Still believe in the creation of the horse.
In the first creation of the third volume, I entered rashly, but found that Hoffa's combat power was too high, which was not something this low-magic world could bear. As a creator, I have to consider the issue of sustainability. If Hoffa continues to use the system or continues to acquire some superpowers or spells to create cool points, then the consequences will not be acceptable for a children's book worldview.
This is a fan fiction, and I have to respect the originality. I always want to let the original characters show up, so the nondescript character of Hagrid's father also appeared.
There are so many restrictions that I have to stop in the middle of my first creation and think about what I should do.
So there was a second creation, but this time the difficulty of creation was far higher than the difficulty of rewriting the sixth volume. If the difficulty of rewriting the ending is 10, then the difficulty of rewriting the third volume is at least 50.
(Admittedly, now I can continue to go back and rewrite, and make the third deletion. I am sure that the writing will be better than before, but after all, this is just a fan, and I also need to survive, and I cannot and am not allowed to write on a story. So gratuitously consumed. So these questions can only be left to future creators)
1. Hoffa can no longer maintain such a high combat power, otherwise the story cannot continue and the system must exit.
2. It is impossible for Hoffa to have another light-hearted adventure, otherwise the story will still collapse. This is the wild price of the first and second volumes, and he must bear it.
3. Contrary to the movement of the Tao, if you want to be complete, there is no life that can only go up and down, and Hoffa is the same.
So how exactly should it be done? How to keep the story going?
After thinking about it, the price is only Aglaia, and the reason for choosing Aya is also very simple, she is important enough to Hoffa.
This is a decision I must make after experiencing tremendous pain and suffering. I don't think there is another person in the world who is more unwilling to do this than me.
It's just that story is a dirty art, a brutal art. Aglaia's death is necessary, and only her death can allow the story to continue. Only her death can make the arrow of time be born.
So the third volume can only be a tragedy.
Before that, I had never really created a tragedy. The story education I received was largely completed by online articles, which is my limitation.
However, in order to complete the necessary tasks of the story and achieve the goal of real-time updating of online texts, I forced myself to write a tragedy in a short period of time. Because it was forced, it was forced, and it was not born naturally, so I was never satisfied with it.
If you want to go to other stages, the revision of the third volume is necessary. Future creators must consider your current environment at that time, whether you can tolerate tragedy, and also consider your own level, whether you can successfully create a great tragedy.
After all, a great tragedy is more difficult than a happy ending. What is even more difficult is a great, staged tragedy.
If you are confident that you can keep the functionality of the third volume intact, that is, complete the death of Aglea and guide the arrow of time, then I welcome you to make any changes to this story.
(Of course, it doesn’t mean that the third volume is completely worthless. I personally like the part of Aglaia and Hoffa in the Black Lake. I like it privately. I don’t want it to be known to many people.)
If Volumes 1 and 2 are what will set future creators up for commercial success, Volume 3 needs to be approached with caution. If you don't want to repeat the same mistakes or try to continue to succeed in business, then the content of the third volume needs to be adjusted. This is a tightrope walk, and it is very human.
3. After talking about two difficulties, let’s talk about the benefits at the end. Although the third volume is difficult, it is one of the signposts for my transformation from immature to mature. The next three volumes, whether it is the arrow of time or the heart stone, are very good stories, and do not need to make too many major revisions.
The emotions I carry in them are real and timeless. This is also the basis on which this book can last forever in time. As long as human beings have emotions, they will not remain indifferent to this sincerity.
Similarly, after deleting the system, the first and second volumes are also witnesses of my reckless youth. The emotions in them are equally innocent and precious, and I also adopted a movie-style narrative in the plot. This book, I believe, will make a good artistic and commercial return for future creators, if your time allows it.
And choose this book as the future of the second creation, I just want to say, I wish you good luck.
