Red Soviet Union

Chapter 318: The Great Arsenal Plan (II)

The purpose of the plan: to help China fight against a possible Soviet invasion.

The plan is to set up a pre-positioned equipment warehouse in China, similar to POMCUS. That is to say, the US Army will set up equipment for several divisions in China. If something happens, the US Army in the mainland will directly airlift the equipment to receive it for combat.

Specific implementation of the plan:

China's current air defense system still mainly relies on ground radar stations, which are almost impossible to observe and intercept ultra-low altitude targets. In order to help China improve its early warning capabilities, the United States will provide China with the most advanced modern E-3 early warning aircraft free of charge to form a complete set of early electronic reconnaissance systems. Moreover, this system will be connected to the US Pacific Theater Command and the Pentagon, and will be able to present the actions within 500 kilometers of the Soviet hinterland to the United States at any time.

These early warning aircraft are completely delivered to the Chinese Air Force for safekeeping and use. The United States can even pay for their maintenance. In this way, China can reach the world's advanced early warning level in a short period of time.

At the same time, in view of China's backward MiG series aircraft, the United States will provide China with the most advanced F-16 fighter jets. This type of fighter jet was just finalized by General Motors this year and the U.S. Air Force has just equipped it. Therefore, the fighter jets provided by the United States to China are already the most advanced.

Just because the engine problem has not been solved, the batch of aircraft provided to China will use the mature J79 engine on the F-4. The delivery of this batch of fighters to China will greatly improve the interception capability of the Chinese Air Force and deal with the Soviet air threat without having to rely on the determination to die.

At the same time, in order to improve the combat effectiveness of the Chinese Air Force, the United States will also provide China with a large number of aerial refueling aircraft. In this way, once the Soviet Union invades China, American fighter jets can fly to the war zone from bases in South Korea or even the United States to assist China in fighting against the Soviet Union.

The United States will not only provide fighter planes to China, but will also issue production licenses to Chinese aircraft and weapons manufacturers so that they can produce American combat aircraft and weapons and equipment according to American standards. Once the war breaks out, American aircraft will not have to worry about logistics and supply issues in China. The damaged aircraft will be repaired as soon as possible. In order to obtain a strategic buffer, it is best to establish a complete set of aircraft and engine assembly production lines with the help of the United States at the aircraft manufacturing plant in Chengdu, Sichuan and the Changhe helicopter production base in Jiangxi.

In addition to the most important air force, the United States will also help China improve and renovate other defense industries. For example, the most advanced M1 tanks in the United States will also have a production base in China. In this way, once a large-scale war breaks out, the United States will not need to transport personnel and equipment from the United States by ship like last time. Otherwise, the Soviets would not even occupy the northern part of Hokkaido! It's all because of the backward equipment transportation!

The United States only needs to use transport planes and civil airliners to transport tens of thousands of American soldiers to China in the shortest possible time, and directly drive the large weapons and equipment stored in Shenyang, Beijing, Taiyuan, Xi'an, Wuhan and Shanghai and guarded by Chinese soldiers into the war against the Soviet Union!

This is an attractive plan. In the whole plan, the United States did not propose to station any troops in China, and China's sovereignty still belongs to China completely! Moreover, the United States almost uses a free way to directly hand over the most advanced weapons in the United States to the Chinese army, allowing them to operate and use them, and they will also be produced in China! This will also play an immeasurable role in improving China's military industry!

The Soviet Union wanted to build a fleet base in China, which made China angry, and the United States was completely helping China! When this plan was formulated by the Pentagon, many people opposed it, believing that such conditions were too loose. Once China mastered American technology and became enemies with the United States, the situation in the United States would be even worse!

It was President Carter's insistence that made this plan come true, and Warren, who came to China secretly with such a plan, was not worried at all that the Chinese side would refuse.

What does China have now? The J-7, which is an improvement of the MiG-21, and the 59 and 69 tanks, which are improvements of the T-54. Can these things deal with the Soviet Union? The next step of the Soviet Union will be to invade China! What can China use to resist the Soviet attack?

The United States has extended an olive branch, how can China not accept it? Compared with Nixon last time, the United States has completely let go this time!

Mr. Deng looked very carefully. The meeting room was very quiet, with only the ticking sound of the pendulum clock in a corner of the meeting room.

After finishing a bowl of tea, Warren changed from being confident to suspicious. What was wrong with the Chinese? Did they still hold on to their old prejudices?

"Mr. Warren, we will seriously consider your proposal." Finally, after putting down the plan, Mr. Deng said to Warren: "No matter what the final result of our consideration is, we are grateful for your action."

"Okay, we will wait for your reply. Our president also very much hopes that you can pay a state visit to the United States at an appropriate time." Warren knew that the conditions had been put forward, and it would be useless for him to say anything else now. It all depended on what the Chinese people chose.

After seeing off the Americans, Mr. Deng walked into an office and threw the documents on the table: "Old Ye, take a look."

As the backbone and a highly respected marshal who saved the country and the people at a critical moment, Marshal Ye attached great importance to the visit of the Americans. However, because the visitor was not the President of the United States after all, due to the issue of formality, Marshal Ye did not attend the greeting and conversation.

Marshal Ye picked it up and read it carefully, with a wry smile on his face: "The Americans want to use China as a bridgehead. They want us to replace the island country."

On the surface, it seems that the Americans did this all for China to resist the Soviet Union. However, if we look beyond the phenomenon and look at the essence, it is not that simple. The Americans did this to bring fire to China.

"Moreover, I am also worried that if we agree to these terms, our military will gradually change its ideology. The Americans' theories of democracy and freedom will cause problems for our military," said Deng.

This plan is really tempting, but good things will never happen without paying any price. If China accepts this plan, it will have to pay more.

"We will discuss it at the zzz conference. Truth is always discovered through debate." Deng Xiaoping said generously, "We regard the Western world as a scourge, and the West is also hostile to us. No matter what, this is still an opportunity. If we have reservations about this plan, we can also propose our own plan. It's up to us to grasp the opportunity."
