Chapter 353: The Final Stillness
Stillness…broke out again.
Everything was still again, and all living things here stopped moving.
And this is caused by the 'core'.
The Reanimators dug deep into the Stasis Core, where they discovered something special.
This is a small 'hole'.
Similar to the previous giant cave entrance, it looks like a large black hole with a rock structure border.
The entrance of this cave is only over 100 meters in diameter and one meter thick. It appears in the underground cave dug by the Resurrected Corpseers.
And it was floating in mid-air, not touching anything.
The Reanimated were very interested in it. When they first discovered the cave entrance, they rushed in to explore. Of course, none of them returned successfully.
Even so, they still showed great interest and continued to conduct research near the cave entrance in large numbers.
Their method of research is to try throwing various objects in, or to try to tie themselves up with ropes or something and jump into the hole.
Of course, no matter what method is used, once you get in, you can’t come back, and the rope will break.
The granular creatures were very...scared of the appearance of this hole.
It felt that this was a symbol of the revival of the Source of Stillness, so it tried to give the Reanimator the idea of destroying this place.
It’s just that the Reanimators were so interested in this cave that they reduced the influence of the granular creatures a lot.
The influence of the thinking of the granular creatures cannot directly conflict with the thinking of the creatures themselves, so it can only watch these creatures continue to study here.
Later, the Reanimators began to throw other creatures in. They experimented with various captured creatures, but nothing they threw in had any effect.
Once, the Reanimator captured a group of husks.
These husks were originally in an unfinished fortress in the distance. They found a flying vehicle, left the fortress, and flew to the surface of the static core.
After landing on the surface, they were captured by the Reanimators, who then brought them here and... threw them in.
During this process, the particle creature has been trying to stop the Reanimator because it feels that there must be a reason why those bodies come back.
Although we don't know whether they are looking for this underground hole, it is very likely.
Now they don't have to find a way to go back by themselves, they are taken there by the Reanimated Corpses.
But the Reanimated Corpses still ignored the influence of the granular creatures. Rather, when they felt that the granular creatures were interfering with them, they became more interested in trying out what was going on.
When the Reanimators threw the captured people into the cave, something strange happened.
In the unfinished fortresses around, there were originally many shells that had not moved, but now they are all moving.
It seems that this is because these carcasses were thrown into the cave, although the granular creatures cannot see what happens after entering the cave.
It’s just that the outer shells all moved at the same time, which made the granular creatures feel that they should be related.
Because there were too many moving shells, the creatures living there could no longer resist the attack of these shells.
The granular creatures discovered that although these bodies were resurrected in different fortresses, after they were resurrected they all gathered towards... one fortress.
They gathered in the fortress and began to quickly modify the interior of the fortress, which made the granular creatures panic again.
Because it discovered that these creatures were transforming the fortress into a 'forced static bomb'.
When they are transformed into this form, they will be equipped with engines that are different from those of ordinary fortresses.
After seeing this situation, the granular creature immediately tried to gather all the creatures around that might attack the shell.
Many creatures nearby responded to the call... Of course, they were actually affected by the nervousness of the granular creatures.
These creatures gathered around the fortress and began to attack the husks above, but there were a large number of husks here, and they all had newly created weapons.
As a result, the gathered creatures were unable to harm the husks, and in fact fled when they noticed the husks' fierce firepower.
The hull construction process was successful, and they quickly built the engine without any interference.
However, the granular creatures also successfully attracted...the Resurrected Corpse at this time.
Of course, the Reanimators also noticed the phenomenon of large-scale gathering of corpses, so they sent a team to investigate.
After discovering that all the teams approaching the fortress were killed, this group of Reanimated Corpses felt the influence of the granular creatures again... and they soon regarded this fortress as a huge threat.
Then, these Reanimated Ones launched one of their 'land blocks'.
These land masses are the areas where they live. When necessary, they will use these places as weapons by activating the mobile organs on them and letting the land masses crash into the target.
Thus, a conical landmass several kilometers long was activated by the Reanimator, who could set the organs on it to operate at a delayed rate.
After they all evacuated, the landmass crashed into the fortress of the shell.
The fortress of the shell was also activated at this time.
Just like the previous situation, after it was activated... the entire fortress was slowly covered by black fog, and the speed was getting faster and faster.
The two sides seemed to be about to collide, and the particle creature thought that this would freeze the surrounding area but would not affect all creatures, but it was wrong.
The fortress turned into black mist and suddenly flew sideways to avoid the land mass, and then it flew towards the direction of the static core.
This surprised the granular creatures quite a bit.
The black fog was not blocked by anything, and of course there was nothing that could block it.
It slammed into the ground of the stationary core at high speed, and the moment it touched the surface, it exploded.
The violent black fog spread wildly, affecting every creature on the surface and in the void.
In a few seconds, it spread over a range of millions of kilometers, with the static core as the center, and everything around it fell into stillness.
All living things... stopped moving.
Why is this force so much greater than before? Is it because it hit the stationary core?
The granular creatures were full of confusion and also full of... despair.
These creatures had the potential to bring life to the void, but why were they made static again?
The granular creature noticed that the hole in the core underground had disappeared.
It seems to be related to this.
But now...it seems that nothing matters anymore. Nothing can move anymore. Everything is over.
No...something can still move.
The granular creature suddenly recovered a little emotion from despair.
Because it found that some...machines were moving.
These machines were captured by the Reanimators for research, and many of them have been disassembled and reassembled by them.
That is, the reorganized machines...they slowly began to move.
